Qatar Airways Inaugurates Daily Flights Between Doha and Washington, DC

Qatar Airways now flies daily non-stop between Doha, Qatar’s capital, to Washington DC’s Dulles International Airport. The Washington route is operated with the Airbus A340 aircraft in a three-class configuration, with First Class offering eight seats convert into flat beds and the 42 Business Class seats providing a 160 degree recline. Economy Class has 216 seats.

On arrival in Washington after the 14-hour flight, Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker said , “Three weeks ago, Qatar Airways took its first historic steps into the vitally important US market with flights to New York. This evening we are celebrating our second US route, with our new direct non-stop flights to Washington DC,” he said.

During 2007, Qatar Airways has also inaugurated routes to Dar es Salaam, Lagos, Bali, Ho Chi Minh City, Chennai and Geneva. On November 27, the carrier begins service to Stockholm. The carrier offers the world’s first commercial passenger building dedicated to First and Business Class passengers in its new Premium Terminal at Doha International Airport.
