Jet Airways Adds Delhi -Toronto Service

August 21, 2007 by Travel News Editor

Jet Airways has added a new route, flying from Delhi to Toronto, via Brussels, five times weekly. The flight will also connect with the airline’s new Mumbai – New York (Newark) service. Flight synchronization will allow transfers between the two flights, providing Delhi – New York and Mumbai – Toronto services.

The Airbus 330-200 aircraft used on the Delhi to Toronto route will have 30 seats in Premier Class and 90 seats in Economy. Premiere will provide 73-inch-long flat beds that convert electronically from the seat configuration. The beds have both lumbar support and massage systems. Advanced ergonomics were employed in the design of the new 32-inch pitch seats in Economy Class.

To enhance its on-demand access to more than 200 hours of both Bollywood and Hollywood movies, regional films, television and short programs, and audio CD’s, the Panasonic eX2 Entertainment system offers Bose noise-cancellation headphones.

Flight 9W 226 will operate every day except Tuesday and Thursday. It will leave Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi at 2:45 a.m., and reach Brussels at 8:00 a.m. The flight will depart for Toronto at 9:55 a.m., arriving at 12:15.

Flight 9W 225 will depart from Toronto at 8:15 p.m. and arrive at Brussels International Airport at 9:55 a.m., followed by an 11:55 a.m. departure for Delhi. The flight will arrive in Delhi at 11:35 p.m.

Jet Airways is offering an inaugural roundtrip Economy Class fare of Rs. 35,000. Tickets must be purchased before August 31 and are valid for travel until through October 31. Premier Class roundtrip fares start at Rs. 157,500. All fares are exclusive of taxes, and conditions apply.

Every day Jet Airways makes over 340 flights to 52 destinations on their fleet of 64 aircraft. The fleet, with an average age of 5.1 years, is one of the youngest in the world.
