TAM to Add New Daily Sao Paulo-Frankfurt Flight

On November 30, TAM will inaugurate a new daily service between Sao Paulo, Brazil and Frankfurt, Germany. The return Frankfurt-Sao Paulo flight will begin on December 1. The route will use the new Airbus A340-500, configured with 267 total seats in Business and Economy class. The plane is scheduled for delivery to TAM in October.

The Sao Paulo-Frankfurt leg will leave Sao Paulo’s Guarulhos International Airport every day at 10:40 p.m. for a 1:30 p.m. arrival in Frankfurt. The Frankfurt-Sao Paulo flight is scheduled at 10:30 p.m. with a 7:40 a.m. arrival in Sao Paulo. All times are local.

TAM and Lufthansa have agreed to a codeshare arrangement for both domestic and international flights and will announce implementation details during the next few months. The Lufthansa Miles & More and TAM’s Fidelity loyalty programs will be linked as part of the agreement. VIP programs will also be available in some airports. TAM is Brazil’s leading domestic airline. It’s Fidelity program was the first by a Brazilian airline.
