September 17, 2007 by Travel News Editor

United Airlines will inaugurate its eighth daily flight between the US and Frankfurt December 15th when it begins passenger and cargo service to Frankfurt from Los Angeles using Boeing-777 equipment. The carrier currently has seven flights to Frankfurt from its other international hubs, with three daily flights from Washington DC, two daily flights from San Francisco, and two daily flights to Chicago. The first Frankfurt to Los Angeles flight will be December 16th.

The overnight Los Angeles-Frankfurt leg will leave Los Angeles at 5:25 p.m., arriving in Frankfurt at 1:25 p.m. the next day. The return leg will leave Frankfurt at 3:20 p.m. and reach Los Angeles at 6:14 p.m. The schedule is subject to change.

“Both Los Angeles and Frankfurt serve as important international business destinations and connection points for our customers, who can connect to more than 885 destinations world wide through our Star Alliance partnerships,” said Kevin Knight, United’s senior vice president of planning.
