Expedia Begins Offering JetBlue Airways Inventory

May 27, 2007 by Travel News Editor

Expedia announced a new five-year strategic partnership with low-fare carrier JetBlue Airways Corporation, under which all of JetBlue’s published fares, schedules and inventory are now available to leisure and unmanaged business travelers through Expedia.com(R) and Hotwire. In addition, Expedia(R) Corporate Travel is now offering JetBlue flights to its managed business travel customers.

“Adding JetBlue to our marketplace demonstrates Expedia’s promise to enable travelers to create and enjoy the best trip possible, at the best prices, guaranteed. We’re confident Expedia customers will enjoy JetBlue’s low prices, unique offerings and innovative product for years to come,” said Paul Brown, President, Expedia North America. “This deal also demonstrates the compelling value Expedia provides our airline partners — low-cost carriers and full-service airlines alike — by delivering highly valuable and incremental travel shoppers, and strong brand and marketing support.”

“With the most legroom in coach of any airline, unlimited and complimentary snacks and the most live entertainment choices in the skies today, our customers look forward to their JetBlue flight as much as their destination,” said Trey Urbahn, Executive Vice President, Chief Revenue Officer for JetBlue Airways. “We’re excited to extend our great low fares and award-winning service to the nearly 30 million travelers who visit Expedia’s global sites every month, giving our customers even more options to make JetBlue their preferred airline when booking online travel.”
