IMMEDIATE NEWS RELEASE:

DVD PROPELS NEW ZEALAND TOURISM INTO THE 21st CENTURY

New Zealand's first DVD for consumer sale "Coast to Coast" is in big demand worldwide.
The DVD Power produced DVD showcases the diversity of New Zealand's unique and
absolutely stunning natural scenic beauty along with major tourism attractions, in eight languages.

AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND ( APRIL 2, 2001) DVD Power Ltd,www.dvdpower.org New Zealand's foremost digital media publishing company, reported today that just days after release, demand for New Zealand's first produced DVD for consumer sale, has far exceeded the company's wildest dreams.

The 70 minute DVD Power produced tourism DVD "Coast to Coast",was created from New Zealand's No.1 selling video of the same name.

DVD Power, Business Development Director, Allan Shean, describes "Coast to Coast" as a major milestone for both DVD Power and New Zealand, and sets the blueprint that revolutionises the way New Zealand businesses will need to seriously consider how to get noticed when generating sales on an international stage.

Allan describes the "Coast to Coast" DVD as a CD-on-Steriods,revealing 70 minutes of an interactive adrenalin pumping journey
through New Zealand in choice of eight languages -English,Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Thai and Korean.

Extra features include stunning sections on Culture, Natural Wonders and Adventure including a hair raising bungee jump he said.

Viewers anywhere in the world, in the comfort of their home or office, can now go on an amazing video tour of New Zealand selecting the segments to be viewed in more detail from an on screen interactive menu.

The viewers can choose when and in what order they wish to travel through paradise, including the ability to randomly revisit their favorite screens to experience New Zealand's wonderfully unique and diverse naturalbeauty and mind blowing tourism attractions unfolding before them, said Harry Chua, DVD Power (Singapore) DVD Technology Chief.

Tremendous savings in replication, marketing and logistics are being achieved as a result of one DVD title, now replacing the 20 or so bulky videotape versions previously required to cater for an international market.

"Prior to DVD, the only way the client could operate a global video business, was to cater for the 3 world wide television formats, PAL,NTSC, SECAM along with a minimum of 8 languages, for each tourism title we release," said Paul Mah

"Multiply each of the tourism titles by twenty and you can see why the client can't wait for VHS tape to be completely replaced by DVD.

Gone will be the days of wondering if their core business is warehousing or if they are just masquerading as part time producers of New Zealand's best selling tourism videos."

Mr Chua said international visitors were one reason New Zealand Video Tours commissioned DVD Power to commence repurposing the first
of the video tapes. Due to the increasing number of inquiries regarding why New Zealand's best selling tourism videos were not avaliable on DVD, we simply had to enter the 21st century and meet the demand.

Generating a "buzz" for a product in the highly competitive internationaltourism market is no easy task he says.

"DVD is impressive. With far superior picture and sound quality compared to VHS tape, and up to a massive 28 times the information storage capacity of CD-ROM, DVD provides an enormous opportunity for companys to increase earnings and save tremendous amounts of money in conducting business globally", Nick Tay, DVD Power
(Singapore) production manager said.

New Zealand Video Tours selected the DVD Power team to create "Coast to Coast", as its' team includes some of the world's most
internationally respected authorities and international award winning DVD producers. It was this amazing and formidable mix of knowledge and unbeatable industry expertise that has been established in New Zealand, that gave me the absolute confidence to trust such a new company with a major milestone for our company.

DVD Power Director(USA)Jim Taylor believes DVD might just be the magic bullet New Zealand is looking for. The thin convergence
disk that can travel the world, speak multiple languages, offer instant play back, make connections and link the missing pieces of the puzzle.

DVD allows consumer satisfaction and interest generation to be taken to a whole new level of informing and entertaining, by offering a common and consistent platform for targeting individual use or mass
distribution world wide in a most cost effective method.

Mr Jeff Sunderland DVD Power (Australia) described that the first time the client viewed a pre-release version of "Coast to Coast" on a 4 metre wide theatre screen, he was totally blown away by the unbelievable experience.

Years associated with the film industry couldn't prepare the client for the absolutely stunning way,New Zealands natural beauty and tourist attractions were unfolding and being show case before his eyes. Videotape looks bad on a 1 metre screen let alone a 4 metre one, but not DVD Jeff said.

The client quickly came to realise, why DVD is the fastest growing global electronic consumer product ever, and being used by
governments and corporations worldwide to punch home their messages to citizens and consumers alike Mr Sunderland says.

DVD Power, in association with its global network of offices offers some of the most advanced DVD digital media publishing
solutions in the world, developing cutting edge DVD applications for corporate, educational and consumer applications. It is one of the few in the world who are at the cutting edge of Web-DVD expertise, providing new revenue opportunities for marketing and educational providers, said DVD Power Director of International Affairs and International Award winning producer
Ralph LaBarge.

DVD-Video and Web-DVD are certainly changing the way businesses compete in the new media age. The communication and entertainment industries are already in convergence mode,
collectively positioning for the new millennium.

As consumer access to information reaches overload, it will be the content and the way it is delivered that dictates which companies will dominate. News, weather, and sport will become ubiquitous, leaving the greatest income streams to be enjoyed by providers of content and innovative leading edge delivery methods such as being developed by DVD Power internationally said world reknown DVD Power Director Jim Taylor.
