ZonaColonial.com is a multilingual WebZine, built by an international team, which has the advantage of bundling views from around the world. Our goal is to share and to honor the history and the atmosphere of this old city by showcasing its beauties in a dynamic fashion. With this, we offer the opportunity to get to know a city that is quite underestimated by many, but that has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

The Dominican Republic has more to offer than just all inclusive beach resorts and pretty beaches. It is true that the “playas” are more beautiful than anywhere else in the world, but so many times, people forget the cultural and historical aspects this country offers: among others, the Colonial Zone.

Unlike other city portals we give you a complete overview of the monuments in the Zona Colonial. They are presented in an innovative way (if you don't have MacroMedia® Flash installed on your machine, be sure to download it!), interesting for historians to read, fun to look at for children and intriguing as a whole.

In cooperation with the Patronato and the local cultural centrums, we will provide you with a schedule of every exhibition or film or any other activity happening in the Zona Colonial. There will be information for everyone, whether you live in Santo Domingo, whether you want to live there, or whether you plan to visit the Dominican Republic.
